Purpose

- narrative based (e.g. subject matter of song, characters, cultures, etc)
Composition
- lyrics (e.g. amount of lyrics, repetition, language, song vs spoken vs rapped, etc)
- song structure (e.g. how the song is ordered into sections)
- composition (e.g. tempo, timing, length, structure, timber, collage/fusion, layering, use of percussion vs melody, etc)
- non-composition (e.g. randomness, generative, aleatoric elements, instructional/logic/math, live sampling and playback during performance, etc)
- instrumentation (sampling vs live playing, instrument(s) choice, instrument configuration/tuning, instrument voicing, use of amplification, organic vs electronic, etc)
